'Skinny' man climbs in window of Hawkinge home when owner was indoors

A man who attempted to break into a Hawkinge house ran off when he was spotted by the owner who was in the property.


Neighbourhood Watch reported that on Sunday 9 July between 3.00am and 3.18am there was an attempted break in at a house in Millfield, Hawkinge while the owner was indoors.

A young white male, skinny build with very short hair tried get in via the open front window. When he was spotted by the owner he ran off in the direction of The Street.

Crime Prevention Tips- with the change in weather and the subsequent lawns to mow please ensure that your sheds, garages and outbuilding are left secure and your garden tools, mowers and ride on mowers are placed inside and out of view.
