Man arrested in Ramsgate over Little Curiosity Box burglary in Sandwich

Kent Police officers investigating a burglary in Sandwich have arrested a Ramsgate man on suspicion of burglary and failing to stop.

The 24-year-old was arrested in Ramsgate on Sunday 16 July 2017 and has been released pending further enquiries.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the burglary, which is reported to have taken place at the Little Curiosity Box shop in New Street, Sandwich, just after midnight on the morning of Tuesday 11 July 2017.

Several items of jewellery were stolen along with a heart-shaped wooden box.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Dan Adelsberg said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who saw people acting suspiciously in the area that night, or who has information about the burglary.’

The two suspects have been described as white and one is believed to have been wearing a black hooded top with white stripes on the sleeves.
