Man and woman from Dover charged with string of offences following burglary and thefts

Kent Police officers investigating a burglary, fraud and thefts from motor vehicles in Dover have charged two people.



On Tuesday 11 July 2017 a property in Durban Crescent was reported to have been burgled between 5am and 7am where a handbag including a bank card was stolen.

Between Saturday 15 July and Monday 17 July items from vehicles were also reported stolen in Astley Avenue and Marine Parade.

A 38-year-old man and a woman aged 26, both from Dover were charged on Wednesday 26 July 2017 with fraud by false representation, possession of a prohibited weapon, two counts of receiving stolen goods along with burglary and theft in connection with the incidents.

The woman was also charged with possession of a class B drug.

Both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link on Wednesday 26 July 2017. The man has been remanded in custody and the woman has been released on bail until Wednesday 23 August when they are both due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court.
