Crime: Image issued after teenage girl grabbed by man in Canterbury

Officers investigating a report of a teenager being grabbed by the wrist in Canterbury have issued a computer-generated image of a man they want to identify.

The incident occurred at the entrance of Gas Street near the Castle Street car park between 2.55pm and 3.55pm on Sunday 18 June 2017.

A man is reported to have approached a teenage girl and grabbed her by the wrist.

The victim pulled away and ran in the direction of High Street.



The suspect is described as aged in his late 20s, with tanned skin and messy, brown medium-length hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, grey three-quarter length tracksuit shorts, and spoke with a foreign accent.

He may have left the scene in a black, hatchback car.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone with information about the alleged offence or the identity of the suspect.
