Talking watch stolen in burglary at Rough Common in Canterbury

Kent Police want to hear from witnesses after a report of burglary at a house in Rough Common near Canterbury in which a talking watch was one of the items stolen.

The burglary happened in Rough Common Road between 3am and 3.33am on Sunday 2 December 2018.

A quantity of cash and a number of bank cards were stolen along with a jewellery box containing earrings and a white metal men’s talking watch.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kirsty Gee said two men had been disturbed in the house by the elderly occupants.

‘Both men were described as being slim and were wearing balaclavas and black clothes. They spoke with English accents.’

She is appealing for anyone with information about the incident. She said: ‘We would also like to hear from anyone who saw or has CCTV footage of any suspicious vehicles or people in the area at the time.’
