Man officers want to identify Image released by Kent Police

Officers investigating an assault in Whitstable would like to identify a man, pictured above, who may be able to help with their enquiries.

On Monday 29 April 2019 just after midday the victim, a man in his late 20s, parked his van near the seafront in Tankerton, not far from the beach huts.

A few moments later the window of the van was smashed. The victim, who was still in the area, went over to his vehicle and challenged the person he believed was responsible, at which point, he reported being assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

A number of enquiries have been carried out and officers have now released the image of a man who could have important information to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/86461/19. Alternatively you can call the independent charity, Crimestoppers in Kent, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
