Leon Davis from Erith was arrested in south-east London in May 2020 following an investigation by Kent Police.

He admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 21 August.

The 22 year old was brought back before the same court on Wednesday 18 November and was jailed for six years.

Kent Police officers found messages sent by the ‘Deano’ county line, offering cocaine and heroin to drug users in Margate in October 2019.

Working with the Met Police, officers identified Davis as running the line and he was arrested in November 2019 and released while his activity was investigated.

Davis then passed the running of the phone line to a 17-year-old boy, but after Kent Police discovered drugs were still being sold in the area, both dealers were arrested on Sunday 15 May 2020 and charged.

Detective Constable Jake Griffiths, of Kent Police’s County Line and Gangs Team, said: ‘Kent Police is committed to preventing drugs being brought into the county and sold to vulnerable people in our communities.

‘The length of the sentence in this case reflects the fact that class A drugs like those being peddled by Davis and others inevitably lead to knock-on crime and anti-social behaviour in the areas where they are dealt.’
