The decision to close the centre was made last night (23 March) following the Prime Minister’s statement calling for people to stay at home except for a number of very limited purposed such as shopping for essentials.

Residents can still call or go online to access information about services.

All but essential members of staff are now working from home.

The measures are in place to protect those living in the district and to ensure essential services are available for those living in the district – particularly the vulnerable.

Lifeline is still functioning for existing clients.

No new clients will be taken on nor will the carrying out of any new installations. The decision will be reviewed in three weeks.
