Unconscious man discovered with serious injuries in Canterbury school field

Kent Police is appealing for information after a man was found with serious injuries in Canterbury.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating after officers were called to an unconscious man lying in a school field near Knight Avenue at 4.15am on Tuesday 26 May 2020.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and the man, who is in his 40s, was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for a head injury.


As part of their investigation, officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a disturbance in Union Street, Canterbury on the evening of Monday 25 May 2020.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They remain in police custody while the investigation continues.

Those in custody and the victim are understood to be known to each other.
