Pair to face numerous charges following fatal collision in Frith Road Dover

A suspected dangerous driver is to appear in court in connection with a fatal collision in Dover.

The collision involving a car and a pedestrian took place in Frith Road during the early evening of Saturday 9 November 2019. A man in his 50s died at the scene.

A 28-year-old man of no fixed address and a 40-year-old woman from Dover have been served a postal requisition to attend Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 29 July.

The man will face charges of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving while disqualified, perverting the course of justice, possessing an offensive weapon (knuckleduster), dangerous driving, two counts of driving over the prescribed drug limit, driving while disqualified, driving while unfit through drugs, and driving without insurance.

The woman will face charges of possession of cannabis and permitting the use of a vehicle without insurance.

A 30-year-old woman who was arrested after the collision, has been released without charge.
