Suspected migrants rescued from inflatable craft sinking off coast of Dymchurch - UPDATE

It's been reported that a number of migrants have been rescued from the English Channel off the coast of Dymchurch in the early hours of this morning, 29 May.


Migrants rescued from inflatable craft off Dymchurch

20 people, including two Brits are said to have been rescued from the inflatable craft as it began to sink.

The Lydd based Coastguard helicopter and the Dungeness and Littlestone lifeboats were involved in the rescue after the alarm was raised shortly before midnight.

It is understood that 18 migrants have since been taken to Dover and placed in the custody UK Border Force officers.

the two Brits are being questioned by immigration officers.
