Dover police team seize cash from car in incident at Mongeham Road Deal

A man has been charged with a money laundering offence following an incident in Deal.

Officers from the Dover Community Policing Team seized money from a car in Mongeham Road, Deal on Saturday 9 May 2020.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are currently investigating.


A 35-year-old man from Crawley, has been charged with possession of criminal property, namely cash and with possession of a weapon, namely a homemade taser.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 May and was remanded in custody until his next appearance before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 8 June.
