An arrest has been made after officers were called to a report of a burglary in progress in Cliftonville, Margate.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service remains at the scene of a fire in Biddenden High Street, where good progress is being made and the fire is well contained. Firefighters have worked to prevent the fire spreading and are now opening up the roof to reveal and extinguish any hotspots. The technical rescue team is in attendance and using a drone to get a view of the incident from above. Crews are expected to be on the scene throughout the day and into this evening.

Academy students Shoebox Appeal will help Folkestone Rainbow Centre this Christmas
