An innovative youth art project has been developed by community partners, including a photographic exhibition at 'my Gallery' in Dover on Thursday 28 February, as part of ongoing work with partners in the community to keep young people safe.

Three Folkestone Academy students have raised £1,133 after completing a sponsored 6 hour marathon radio show on local radio station 105.9 Academy FM Folkestone, which is based in the school.

Sotiris King, an apprentice in the housing needs team at Dover District Council, was named ‘Public Sector Apprentice of the Year’ at the inaugural East Kent Apprenticeship Awards held at the Yarrow Hotel in Broadstairs on 7 March 2019, as part of National Apprenticeship Week. 




Teen carrying Taser arrested after 30-year-old man is assaulted in Whitstable
