For a decade Folkestone Academy has been hosting their annual Primary Schools Maths Challenge. This year’s tenth competition welcomed ten primary schools from across Folkestone and Hythe.

The new Dover District Leisure Centre, and its home swimming team, Dover Life Guard Club, host their first major competitive swimming event this weekend with up to 300 swimmers representing 24 teams competing for honours at the Kent County Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Relay Championships 2019 on Sunday, 17 March. 




Minimum living wage for workers at Kent district council soars to £9 an hour

From 1st April 2019 Ashford Borough Council’s employees will be paid a minimum of £9.00 per hour and apprentices will continue to receive 15 pence per hour above the statutory national minimum wage (NMW) applicable for their age.
